Happy Easter and Spring!

Hey everyone that might still be following us.  Tyler's personality is coming out more each day and he is very determined.  He had his first temper tantrum in public the other day while I was trying to get his hair cut.  I made the mistake of going the week before Easter along with every other man/boy.  Never again.

Last weekend we spent in Thomasville with my parents.  Jeremy went hunting for his turkey, but never got the right shot when he saw one.  Tyler and I went with my mom to have breakfast with the Easter bunny.  Tyler didn't like the bunny, so I had to be in the picture with him.  However by the end of breakfast, he was brave enough to walk back to where the bunny was and tell him "Bye Bye!"

Peacock Update

In the past few weeks we have been going non-stop but I am not sure doing what.  Tyler is walking all the time...almost running everywhere and into everything.  We just let him go since our house is completely baby proofed.  At Tyler's last check up (15 months) he weighed a whopping 26 lbs and was 31" tall.  I have uploaded some new videos on youtube.com.  Here is the link:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TEDx3E4dFA  The title is First Time at Playground.  My account is Wkpeacock216 if you want to watch any of our other videos.

As for me, I am doing well.  My body is continuing to do its thing.  However we did have a scare a few weeks ago when my hCG level stalled, but it decided to keep on dropping.  I am hoping for only 2-3 more weekly visits for my blood level before it goes monthly.  That would be awesome.  I am just extremely tired of being stuck and constantly bruised from being stuck.

Jeremy is constantly busy as well, however his is with work.  Today started his week of being oncall for afterhours which is so not fun.

Update on Wendy

I have tried updating most of you on Facebook, but am greatly behind on blogging.  Below is a chart of what my blood work is doing.  I hopes this can explain it a little bit better and simpler.  We are shooting for zero which would mean no chemo.  So my oncologist told me this morning that is happy with the progress my body is taking.

New Updates

Well over the past week, our family has gone through many emotions. I will try to recount as best I can without boring you all.

On Thursday, December 3rd, I went to my obstetrician for my 9 week check up and to have an ultrasound. The ultrasound tech was extremely rude and couldn't find anything. She implied that I was never pregnant, which wasn't true. I saw Dr. Woods and he told me to have lab work that day and on Saturday to confirm my hormone levels. I did and we went home not knowing what that would hold. It could have been a number of things...missed miscarriage, ultrasound mishap, etc. We were thinking the worst.

On Friday, December 4th, we went on with our days as usual still not knowing what was going on. Still we had to put our faith in God and his will.

On Saturday, December 5th, I went back for my blood work, when the lab technician said that someone from Dr. Woods' office had cancelled my blood work. She told me that my levels were 18 and 2200, which were normal for an 8-9 week pregnant woman. So I was relieved and just kept trusting that God had everything under control. At this point only our immediate families knew what was going on.

On Sunday, December 6th, we went to church and had dinner with friends that night. Still trusting in God.

On Monday, December 7th, our world fell apart again. The ultrasound was at 12:30 pm and she found the embryo, but I knew something wasn't right. I was asking questions, but I knew that by now there should be a heartbeat. She did tell us that there was no cord attached to the embryo. At that point, we knew we had lost the baby, but what was next shocked us. Waiting the next 45 minutes was awful. The nurses knew from my face that my ultrasound did not go well at all. They did as much as they could to comfort me and keep me away from the rest of the waiting room.

I was called back to the exam room, when Dr. Woods came in. He told me that I had a molar pregnancy. It is a little complicated to explain, but the brief explanation below:
Molar pregnancies are an uncommon and very frightening complication of pregnancy. The formal medical term for a molar pregnancy is “hydatidiform mole.” Simply put, a molar pregnancy is an abnormality of the placenta (afterbirth), caused by a problem when the egg and sperm join together at fertilization.

He told us that we would have to have a D&C to completely terminate the pregnancy and there were certain risks, such as blood transfusion might be needed, hysterectomy, cancer. The last one is what thoroughly scared both of us. I could handle the first two easier, but cancer is a little scarier for me. We prayed that night like we hadn't in a while. Totally scared and totally helpless.

On Tuesday, December 8th, I had to be at the hospital by noon and the procedure was supposed to be at 2 pm, but was running behind and didn't happen until 3 pm. Everything went well, and then we were told we would have to wait a few days on the pathology report.

On Wednesday, December 9th, the nurse and Dr. Woods both called as a followup to check on me and Jeremy. We both were at peace with everything but it was still a little nerve wracking waiting still.

On Thursday, December 10th, Dr. Woods called me and said NO CANCER! And a calm and sense of relief came over me. Praise the Lord!!

Now we go back to see Dr. Woods to see what birth control options we might have (as I cannot take the pills) and how often I will have to come to have blood work. As you may not know, we have to wait one year before trying to get pregnant again. Because the chances are higher in the next year of having another molar pregnancy. However, whatever the next year might hold, we know that God has some great plans. Until then, we will continue to enjoy life and enjoy it through our child's eyes. How sweet it is!

Pumpkin Patch

Below are some pictures from Tyler's first trip to the pumpkin patch at Old Baker's Farm back in early October.

9 months..REALLY!

Tyler is now 9 months old, as of this past Thursday. Where has the time gone? Well he is a much more mobile child and growing incredibly fast. At his well-baby check up, we found that he is now 21 lbs 13 oz and 29 1/2" in height. He is in the 90th percentile. Geez!!!

Tyler is crawling like crazy and pulls up on everything. He can almost stand up without holding on. I am thinking in another 2 months he will be taking those first steps to a complete independence. That will make for a fun football season....Mommy and Daddy chasing him all over the intramural fields. LOL!

He is now going to a church daycare with "Miss" Amy 5 mornings a week. So he gets to play with several other kids. I like this so he doesn't get all the attention and can start learning to share. Several words he is now saying is "Dada" or "Daddy", "Momma", "Baba", "Nini" (Which is actually No, not for Wendy's mom; however she can still think that.) . We finally figured this out when I had to give out a spanking for him pulling on the fireplace screen. He got so mad and kept saying that over and over and looking at me then the screen. I know...I am such a bad momma.

Relaxing Saturday

I know that I have like a million posts to catch up on. It really is hard when you have someone demanding most of your attention. However, now that Tyler is crawling, I really am liking the new found Mommy independence. I am not ready for the walking though.

Today was our first weekend home in 6 weeks. We thoroughly enjoyed napping with Tyler throughout the day and playing with him. Jeremy took him for a walk right after lunch. And since it was around 90, we decided to try out Tyler's new sprinkler pool. It was a hit. See the pictures below.

And since Tyler was being so good tonight after we got home from eating Mexican, Jeremy shared a little of his blizzard. The first bite wasn't a hit, but the 6th and 7th bites were.

It is 9:30 right now and the house is completely quiet. Hubby and baby are sound asleep. Mommy likes!

Where in the South We Have Been

This is going to be a long post if I can help it. So with the past month we have been busy celebrating many birthdays, especially Jeremy’s 30th Surprise Birhtday party.

Below are some of the pictures of the family, friends and decorations at our house. Jeremy was truly surprised.

The next day (June 20th) was Charlie supposed surprise party at the lake. However he found out ahead of time, but didn’t know who all would be there. Tyler was able to get in lake water for the first time. He loved it and promptly climbed up on me on a raft and fell asleep. It was the perfect weather for that trip. I will try to find some pictures for you.

June 21st was Father’s Day. Tyler gave Jeremy a card and some magnets for his cubicle at work. June 22nd was Jeremy’s actual birthday and it was pretty calm, nothing exciting.

On July 3rd, we headed out for Monticello, MS to see Jeremy’s mom’s side of the family. We had a great time with all the cousins, especially the young boys. Tyler loved being around them and watching them playing in the pool. We braved the water twice and Tyler got brave enough to put his head in the water a few times. Fearless!

On Sunday, July 5th we left MS for Thomasville, AL. Only long enough to drop Tyler off with my parents (Nini and Pops) and eat lunch. Then it was on to Sandestin with Jeremy and myself. That night we ate at one of our favorite restaurants, The Crab Trap.

Monday was a day full of torrential storms with lighting and rain. So naturally we headed to the outlets to shop. Second stop was at Fat Clemenzas. Absolutely great pizza! Later that night we made Jeremy’s official birthday dinner at Ruth Chris’s Steakhouse.

Bad Blogger

Many changes have been in store for the Peacocks in the past month and I am just now catching up. I will let you know that there will be more time between posts due to me having to post only at home now. Work has put a time limit on internet time, and I need that more for work than personal use. So we will take it week by week.

Back during the first of May Tyler met his great grandparents for the first time. He also had his first hotel stay. He loved every minute of them and the hotel. However we got little sleep being in such tight quarters without the sound machine to sleep with at night.

On our way back from Georgia, we stopped off at Auburn and took a few pictures of Tyler in front of the Auburn University sign and Sanford Hall. Our great friends Charlie and Brittany took the pictures for us. We also took Tyler for his first trip to Niffer's. He wasn't the best at the dinner table but okay.

Now skip a few weeks where Tyler was fussy all the time due to his new bottom front teeth. I have yet to get a good picture of those pearly whites. And then came Mother's Day where I got a porch swing and I love it!!!

Then we go back to Tyler fussy with a cold and trying to cut some top teeth which have yet to show. We took him swimming yesterday for the first time and once he was numb from the cold water, he loved it. He kicked and kicked and splashed. Which leads me to today where Tyler has slept most of the day from yesterday's fun and Jeremy with some of my help laid a palet of sod. We still need about 2/3 of another palet but that will do for now.

A (Tuesday) Day in the Life of Tyler

6 - 6:30 am Wake up and take my bottle with Mommy(I do sleep later on Saturday and Sunday mornings if Mommy lets me)

6:30 - 7 am - Waiting on Mommy to finish getting herself and me ready. I get to play with a bunch of toys in her and Daddy's bed in the mornings. Sometimes I watch the news, but that is boring and I only like the pretty colors.7 – 8 am Mommy takes me to “Miss” Amy in Helena

8 am - Arrive at "Miss" Amy's house
8 – 9 am Eat Cereal & Fruit (It is hard getting a picture of me eating since I get mad if you don't feed me fast enough)

9 am “Miss” Amy & I take Brooke goes to preschool

9:30 am – 12:45 pm Run errands, play, nap, watch “Miss” Amy clean, etc.
11:30ish – Drink another bottle of 7 oz
1 pm “Miss” Amy & I pick up Brooke from preschool

1:30 – 3 pm Run errands, play with Brooke, nap, etc

3 – 4:30 pm Take bottle of 7 oz, play with Brooke, Brennan, and Brittany

4:30 – 5:30 pm Mommy or Daddy picks me up and we make the long drive back to home in lots of traffic. Sometimes I take a nap because I get bored. This time I stayed awake for the drive to the Blockers house for Bible Study, however I blinked.

6 – 6:30 pm Eat some yummy vegetables (Mommy didn't get a picture this night)

7 - 8 pm Hanging out with my friends at Bible Study (Mary Ella, Left; Anna Joy, Right). Normally I am taking my bath at this time because I get messy eating.

8 – 9 pm I finally fall asleep for the night on the way home from Bible Study...learning is exhausting.
